Board Meeting Highlights – October 2024
Dear Sangha:
The KCC Board of Directors met on Sunday, 20 October. The October board minutes will be approved in November and posted on the website. Until then, here are some highlights:
- The Board approved a monetary gift from KCC for Lama Eric to take to Bokar Monastery in November. This is in addition to the funds raised online.
- The finance report was reviewed KCC continues to maintain about 3.5 months in operating reserves.
- The Director provided an update on programming and other efforts. Recent retreats have been well attended. Tim is optimistic that we will have 4 outside group rentals of SCOL in 2025. The KCC 2025 schedule of retreats is on the website.
- The Board discussed the process to get sangha input for a Land Acknowledgement, a Code of Conduct/Ethics, and a revision of KCC bylaws.
- The Board had an in-depth discussion on a draft revision of KCC bylaws including the importance of a defined “sangha-list”
The board generally meets on the third Sunday of every month from 1:30pm – 3:30pm at KCC; all are welcome to attend. After approval, the meeting minutes are available here.
