The KCC Children’s Program is an opportunity to introduce children to Buddhist values within a supportive, sincere Dharma community. We use simple dharma activities, storytelling, open discussion, songs, art projects and activities – including play – to promote kindness and compassion. Our goal is to provide a fun, meaningful experience for all.
While COVID restrictions are in place, we are meeting on Zoom once-a-month. When gathering is safe, the children’s program will be held on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, from 9:00am to 11:00am. The program normally begins in September and runs through the second Sunday in June. In July and in August we meet only on the fourth Sunday of the month. We require that at least one parent or guardian be present at KCC when their child attends.
We currently serve children aged 5 to 10, however, children close to this age range may also be admitted on a case-by-case basis. Feel free to contact the program director to discuss this, if needed.
Childcare for Children Under Five
We offer childcare for children 3-4 years old on Sunday mornings when the Children’s Program is offered (parent or guardian must be present at KCC). Children under three are welcome to join us if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
