This year marks a remarkable milestone: 25 years of SCOL and 50 years of KCC. To honor this shared journey, we’ll gather on the retreat land to celebrate all that has unfolded so far and to look ahead with enthusiasm to the retreats and possibilities yet to come.
The Mandala Dance of the 21 Praises of Tara is based on a Tara practice by Chogyur Lingpa and has been honored and acknowledged by Tai Situ Rinpoche and HH Dalai Lama as well as many other esteemed teachers and lamas. These are simple movements that anyone can learn, no experience necessary, open to all.
KCC would like to again offer the opportunity for long-term retreat at SCOL. We are now gauging interest for a retreat that would begin in 2028.

On the second and fourth Sundays of each month, from 9:00 to 11:00 am, we offer the Sunday Morning Children’s Program. This program normally starts in September and runs through the second Sunday in June. In July and August we meet once a month on the fourth Sunday. We require that at least one parent or guardian be present at KCC when their child attends.
On November 1st, the veil thins… and the Dharma sings! Join us for a Halloween‑themed fall FUNdraiser full of song, silliness, and Dharma delight. After our usual Sunday Morning Shamatha, we’ll take a short break and then dive straight into community karaoke, followed by a seasonal potluck to keep the party going.
In this retreat we will explore practices that observe how our bodies seem to hold emotions and what happens in the body when emotions arise. Our purpose will be to simply allow experience rather than to change, fix, or explain anything. By becoming aware of what is there, we can befriend it in a non-conceptual way.
