Board Meeting Highlights – July 2024

Here are the highlights from the July meeting of the KCC Board of Directors.
- Tea Perkins – New Board Member: The board voted unanimously to invite Tea to join the Board of Directors. The July meeting was her first meeting.
- Review of Board Goals: Conducted a quick overview of progress made towards goals and confirmed assigned proponents for goals
- Finance: KCC finances are slowly improving. The key indicator is that the operating reserve is slowly increasing.
- Executive Director Update: Tim discussed the September leadership retreat, the possibility of hiring a part time operations person, and a process to define “success” for him in this position.
- Employee Manual: Voted to approve a manual that is posted on the KCC website.
- KCC 50th Anniversary in 2026: Conducted a short initial conversation on defining goals and objectives and possible activities to mark KCC’s 50th.
No meeting will be conducted in August. A leadership retreat will be held in September in place of a board meeting. The next regular KCC board meeting will be the 3rd Sunday in October.
The board holds generally meets on the third Sunday of every month from 1:30pm – 4:30pm at KCC; all are welcome to attend. After approval, the meeting minutes are available here.
