On November 1st, the veil thins… and the Dharma sings! Join us for a Halloween‑themed fall FUNdraiser full of song, silliness, and Dharma delight. After our usual Sunday Morning Shamatha, we’ll take a short break and then dive straight into community karaoke, followed by a seasonal potluck to keep the party going.

In this retreat we will explore practices that observe how our bodies seem to hold emotions and what happens in the body when emotions arise. Our purpose will be to simply allow experience rather than to change, fix, or explain anything. By becoming aware of what is there, we can befriend it in a non-conceptual way.

Together, we reflected on the many accomplishments of 2026 and identified goals for 2027 that advance the vision outlined in KCC’s strategic plan.

How often do you browse the internet? What if you could support the environment as you browse? Ecosia is a non-profit company that plants trees for every 50 internet searches using their browser. They plant native trees and a variety of species in the Americas, Africa, Asia, Australia, and Europe, and they report over 256 million trees planted since their browser was introduced in 2009!

Thank you to everyone who came out to SCOL this past weekend to celebrate its 25th anniversary, and special thanks to our dedicated SCOL staff and the many hands that helped make it happen! For those who presented at tables, supported parking, prepared the space, cooked, and helped with cleanup, the event would not have been possible without your support.
KCC’s regular meditations are open to all members of the public, and in most cases the teacher will offer basic instructions before meditation.
