Kagyu Changchub Chuling (KCC), a cornerstone of the Pacific Northwest’s spiritual landscape, is proud to announce its 50th anniversary. To honor this "Golden Jubilee," the center will host an Open House on June 20 at its Portland location, inviting the local community to explore the history, heart, and practice of Vajrayana Buddhism.
As part of KCC's 50th Anniversary Year, today's regular Sunday Shamatha session will be extended to include storytelling about the history of KCC, setting of aspirations for the future, and a catered lunch. We look forward to celebrating five decades of practice with all of you!
On the Fourth Sunday of each month, join us after the morning practice to help clean and tidy the urban center. With a list of cleaning tasks, a volunteer helps coordinate this swift and thorough dust bunny round up. Thank you for helping to keep our practice space clean!
At the beginning of each session, brief instruction to the practice of Shamatha will be given. After a 45-minute session, there will be a teaching or question-and-answer period with participants.
