Join us for a peer-led book club reading Thrangu Rinpoche's Everyday Consciousness and Primordial Awareness. Wednesday before Chenrezi, followed by a brown-bag dinner.
The practice of Chenrezi — the embodiment of the compassion of all the buddhas — is an excellent introduction to yidam practice of vajrayana Buddhism.

The foundation of Buddhist meditation is Shamatha, a meditation that develops stable attention which serves as the essential underpinning of all other meditation practices. At the beginning of each session, brief instruction to the practice of Shamatha will be given. After a one-hour session and a 10-minute break, there will be a teaching or question-and-answer period with participants.
For this meeting, we’ll take time to check in, reflect together, and discuss the principles and precepts of Engaged Buddhism, considering how they can inform our practice and the way we move through the world.
The KCC Board of Directors meets on the third Sunday of every month. Sangha members are welcome to attend.
