Shamatha Meditation and History Sunday

April 26, 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Teacher: Lama Eric Triebelhorn

The foundation of Buddhist meditation is Shamatha, a meditation that develops stable attention which serves as the essential underpinning of all other meditation practices.

At the beginning of the session, brief instruction on the practice of Shamatha will be given. After an hour and a 10-minute break, we will reconvene for a presentation on the history of KCC, celebrating our 50th year.

9:00am – 10:00am — Shamatha meditation, with brief instruction
10:15am – 11:00am — The Second Era of KCC: the 1980’s
