Meeting to Discuss One-Year Retreat at SCOL

Long retreat provides an opportunity for focused meditation practice on the Buddhist path. Inspired by Bokar Rinpoche, with the vision of Lama Michael Conklin and the work of many others, KCC created Ser Chö Ösel Ling (SCOL) as a place for long retreat. We conducted a one-year retreat in 2013, and a three-year retreat beginning in 2015. Since then, KCC has conducted many shorter retreats at SCOL to benefit the sangha and all beings.
KCC would like to again offer the opportunity for long-term retreat at SCOL. We are now gauging interest for a retreat that would begin in 2028. Initial estimates place the cost at around $25K for a year. Determining the true cost depends on factors including how many retreatants we have.
If we have a suitable number of people to fill the one year retreat, wonderful! If there are spaces remaining, we would open up the opportunity to do six months. And if there is still space, a three-month stint is possible.
