The Twelve Nidanas – Dependent Arising
February 11, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Tuesday and Thursday, repeating until February 25, 2021
Teacher: Chimey (Lois) Beren
A six-class series taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Buddha taught the Twelve Nidanas to expand on the Four Truths of the Noble Ones. The Twelve Nidanas (as illustrated in the outer portion of the Wheel of Life) is a tool to help us understand how we create our suffering and, therefore, how and where we can weaken the links in the network of chains of suffering.
In this series of six classes we will use sutras, dharanis, images, diagrams, discussion and more to understand and develop a closer connection with dependent arising. Some of the concepts will be an expansion of those covered in the Five Skandhas classes; a rudimentary understanding of the skandhas will be valuable.
These classes will be livestreamed via Zoom teleconferencing. The link will be provided participants upon registration.
