The foundation of Buddhist meditation is Shamatha, a meditation that develops stable attention which serves as the essential underpinning of all other meditation practices.
At the beginning of each session, brief instruction to the practice of Shamatha will be given. After a one-hour session and a 10-minute break, there will be a teaching or question-and-answer period with participants.
9:00am – 10:00am — Shamatha meditation, with brief instruction
