- Odd-Numbered Months — Shamatha/Calm Abiding Meditation
- Even-Numbered Months — Chenrezi Practice
Now via livestreaming
KCC is joyfully resuming All-Day Sits on the the first Sunday of each month, with instruction, practice, and discussion led by Lama Eric. All-Day Sits are a monthly opportunity for a day of guided practice in the company of a supportive sangha. Come to receive new instruction, to deepen practices you know, or to lend support to and receive support from fellow meditators.
We will alternate between Shamatha, resting meditation, on odd numbered months (January, March, May, etc.) and the practice of Chenrezi, a practice involving visualization and mantra recitation, on even numbered months (February, April, June, etc.).
These days of intensive practice run from 9:00am to 3:00pm. There will be guided meditations from 9:00-12:00, with plenty of opportunity to stretch. From 12:00-1:30 there will be a potluck lunch. Please bring a vegetarian dish or dessert to share if you can, but do not let this be an obstacle to coming. From 1:30-3:00 there will be opportunities to discuss the practice and engage in one closing session of meditation.
There is no charge for the event, and all are welcome.
