Adzom Gyalse Rinpoche at KCC Sunday, January 26

January 26, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

With our friends from Samden Ling we are honored to host Adzom Gyalse Tulku Rinpoche on January 26th from 9:00am to 1:00pm at KCC.

Adzom Gyalse Rinpoche is a Master of the Old Tradition (Nyingma) of Tibetan Buddhism, born in December of 1980 in a region of central Bhutan. Since he was eight years old he has resided mainly at Shechen Monastery in Nepal, working along with HH Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche as a guide for the different activities of the Sangha.

At present he presides over all the annual ceremonies at Shechen Monastery in Nepal and at some branch monasteries in Bhutan. He also gives guidance to the monks who stay in retreat for three years in Bhutan, where he has a retreat center.

At an early age, he was cared for with loving kindness by HH Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and during that time he received many teachings, transmissions, and empowerments from him, as well as from HH Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche, Lama Serpo Rinpoche and HH Trulshik Rinpoche.

Adzom Gyalse Rinpoche has a direct, unbroken lineage back to Longchenpa. Rinpoche was recognized by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche as the Tulku of the great Gyurme Dorje, the eldest son of Adzom Drukpa Rinpoche.

Adzom Gyalse Rinpoche is known for his teachings on Longchen Rabjam, commonly known as Longchenpa. A legendary master of Tibetan Buddhism, Longchenpa taught the cycles of Dzogpa Chepo, also known as Dzogchen, the great perfection. Longchenpa lived from 1308 to 1363.

During this Sunday teaching Master Translator, Erik Drew will be translating into English from Rinpoche’s Tibetan. Erik has been a Tibetan translator for over 30 years. In his youth he spent several years living as a monk at Rumtek Monastery under the guidance of His Holiness the 16th Karmapa.

This is a longer version of our regular Sunday morning practice.
There is no charge and no registration is necessary.
There will be an opportunity to offer dana to Rinpoche
