Special this year: This retreat will be co-lead by Tim Campbell and Lama Eric Triebelhorn at our retreat land, Ser Chö Ösel Ling, near Goldendale, WA. This retreat includes formal instruction in meditation and contemplation practices specific to the “Mind Training” tradition, with a special focus on the practice of tonglen.

Beginning August 10, Lama Eric Triebelhorn will lead a study group on The Essence of Buddhism by Traleg Kyabgon. This book discusses many of the foundational aspects of Buddhism. The study group will include brief presentations of the material, small group conversations, and sharing in the larger group.
This weekend in October, the Board of Directors, Service Group Coordinators, Program Council, and SCOL staff will gather together to connect, practice, and discuss the new strategic plan that is currently being drafted.

Love getting your hands in the dirt and helping the environment? Come to SCOL for the day on Saturday, October 21, spend the night, or stay the weekend. We will start at 10am, work until noon, have a Fall Harvest potluck, work for a few hours in the afternoon, and have plenty of time to enjoy the land and each other. Plant and forest experts from the OSU Master Naturalist Program may be joining us to share their knowledge.
