Beginning August 10, Lama Eric Triebelhorn will lead a study group on The Essence of Buddhism by Traleg Kyabgon. This book discusses many of the foundational aspects of Buddhism. The study group will include brief presentations of the material, small group conversations, and sharing in the larger group.

On New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, we will continue with our long-standing tradition of hosting two days of practice and aspiration prayers to purposefully conclude one year and intentionally move into the next.

On Tuesday, January 16th at 10:30am, the Yakama Nation Fisheries will be presenting their Conceptual Design for Carrols Creek restoration. The focus of this restoration is to improve water quality conditions on Carrols Creek. This will ultimately deliver cooler water temperatures and greater streamflow during the critical summer season to the Little Klickitat Watershed. The proposed design aims to recharge groundwater in the ~60 acre meadow and restore native meadow vegetation to assist in mitigating elevated water temperatures in the basin.
This group meets monthly to explore becoming Allies for full inclusion of all beings without exception.
UPDATE: Due to the winter storm and damage to our heating system, this event is now POSTPONED UNTIL APRIL

The Portland Center's heating system is currently not operating due to freeze-damage during the recent winter storm. Due to this, Tara Dance will be happening at Phyllis's home in Vancouver WA this month. Please email if you would like to join, and Phyllis will send you directions.
