SUMMARY:Karmaoke: The Return!
DESCRIPTION:On November 1st\, the veil thins… and the Dharma sings! \nKarmaoke this year will also be streamed over Zoom for those not able to make it in person. However\, reader beware… If you wish to lead a song you must show up in the flesh. \nJoin us for a Halloween‑themed fall FUNdraiser full of song\, silliness\, and Dharma delight. After a short Sunday Morning Shamatha\, we’ll take a quick break and then dive straight into community karaoke\, followed by a seasonal potluck to keep the party going. \nLead a tune solo\, gather a few KCC friends to sing with you\, or invite the whole community to join in. If you’ve got a song\, we want to hear it. Everyone is invited to suggest songs they love that have inherent Dharma content (repeats from previous years are welcome!) Song submissions can be sent directly to Jennifer by email at jennifer@kcc.org through October 16th and the Karmaoke Team will put together a final list. \nIn the spirit of the season\, costumes are encouraged!  \nWalking through the neighborhood\, we’re surrounded by the season’s bright abundance: piles of orange pumpkins\, multicolored mums\, apples\, plums\, and figs. It’s a reminder of harvest time and the playful tradition of donning colorful costumes. Our Buddhist tradition offers so many characters to draw from: ghosts\, demons\, goddesses\, yogis… or simply follow whatever calls to your imagination. What will your Karmaoke costume be? \nKeep an eye out over the coming weeks for updates as we bring back old favorites\, or debut a new Dharma‑themed masterpiece. \nClick here for last years playlist. Save the date. We hope to see you there!\n\nVIEW EVENT DETAILS: https://kcc.org/event/karmaoke-the-return/
