SCOL Open House
KCC community and friends gather for a day at Ser Chö Ösel Ling near Goldendale, Wa.
Everyone is invited to come and explore the growing retreat facilities. The day's activities include guided tours of the land and facilities, as well as a sumptuous potluck lunch.
Ser Chö Ösel Ling rises up out of 240 acres of open grassy meadows, ponderosa pine, grand oak forests, and wildflowers. Come celebrate all that has developed since 2001.
After lunch: a lively discussion, "Dharma in the Family" is planned between a mother and son, supporter and retreatant. Eric Triebelhorn is a longtime KCC member and one force behind KCC’s embarking on the SCOL project. He recently completed a three-year retreat in India. His mother, Caren Ewart, stood behind him the whole way. Schedule:
Potluck offerings will be collected at the welcome/parking area.
Driving Instructions:
From Portland take I-84 East to exit 104 at Biggs Junction. Turn left, cross the bridge heading north on HWY 97. Continue on HWY 97 past Goldendale. Just before highway mile marker 17, take a left on Horse Ranch Road. Drive one mile to the entrance of SCOL. Continue through the gate to the parking area.
